In Calls to “Tax the Rich,” Boxer Can Include Herself

Senator Barbara Boxer came to town yesterday to make political hay at the expense of her fellow super-privileged and the economically illiterate. She is reported to have called to “make millionaires and billionaires pay their fair share” nearly a dozen times in the course of her public appearance.

That’s all very nice and fine, Barbara, but you ought at least use the correct pronoun: that “their” should have been “our.”

Yes, Barbara is, indeed, a members of the famed Senate’s “millionaires club.”

At least Warren Buffet admits his desire to punish his own productivity. Why doesn’t someone give them the address for the U.S. Treasury and let them know they can send in as much as they want—of their own money.

  1. The Senator like other elitists never seem to include themselves in the “shared sacrifice” they are always going on about. To Sean Penn or Micheal Moore etc. I say when YOU give all your money away for good causes and live in poverty I will throw in twenty bucks. Until that moment occurs please sit down and shutup!

  3. The world is filled with hypocrites and hypocrisy and the biggest hypocrites of all are the “limousine liberals” who are in politics, academia and entertainment. I guarantee that people like Senator Boxer have most of their wealth tied up in “tax free” Trusts,Endowments and Foundations and by the time they are finished with their high priced lawyers and accountants they have legally sheltered most of their wealth and income from the tax man. The problem with hypocrites like Boxer is that she and her cronies write the tax laws(over 70 thousand pages and counting) that she expects others to obey. In other words “do as I say and not as I do.” What a bunch of phonies.

  4. Let’s don’t forget Pelosi and Feinstein. Both had the benefit of father/husband wealth to get them started. So, all three of our senior Democrats have a philosophy that does not square with their own situations. A pox, etc.

The cure for the tax law is a single page bill– everyone pays 45% of their income, no exceptions, no deductions, no additional benefits.

    A disgusted San Franciscan.
